Finance Transformation Lead Location: Leeds (however, remote working may be considered if needed, provided the candidate can travel to Leeds regularly with travel expenses included within their day rate) Duration: 4 weeks full-time + 6 months x1 day per month Target Start Date: early November Role purpose We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation professional to advise the Chief Financial Officer of a Financial Services organisation on their transformation roadmap. The successful candidate will combine strong finance transformation expertise with hands on experience and insights on what other finance functions of financial services organisations are doing across the below service lines: Procurement & Supplier Management Cash & Payment Operations Reporting & Control Financial Insight & Planning Treasury & balance Sheet Management Credit Analytics You will work with senior Finance Management, CFO as well as Technology and business stakeholders to design and implement more efficient, controlled and insight-led finance functions. Key responsibilities Review Finance Transformation roadmaps Share insights from hands-on experience on what other financial services organisations are doing to achieve similar objectives, lessons learned and pre-empt potential issues based on previous experience Act as a critical friend to senior stakeholders, opening issues before they arise and tackling difficult conversations with sensitivity and empathy Contribute to workshops with industry perspectives Experience and qualifications Essential: Significant experience delivering Finance Transformation programmes within Financial Services. Experience working with banks, insurers, building societies, asset managers, payments firms or other regulated financial institutions. Strong understanding of finance processes, operating models, controls, reporting and data. Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes. Experience working across Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology and business functions. Strong understanding of regulatory and control environments within Financial Services. Experience with finance systems, reporting tools, data platforms or process automation. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving and delivery capabilities. Desirable: Professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. Experience with ERP, EPM or reporting platforms such as Databricks, Jade, Helix, SAP, Oracle, Workday, Anaplan, OneStream, Power BI or Tableau. Consulting, advisory or experience leading enterprise-wide change programmes.
