About the role:

At Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School we want the best for every single child and our Learning Support Assistants are vital in achieving this. There should be no barriers to learning and strong Learning Support Assistants will help young people be successful in school while preparing them for success in their future careers. The successful candidate will work under the instruction and guidance of teachers and leadership to undertake work, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, supportive and compassionate individual committed to assisting our pupils and providing a positive learning environment. Skillset will include:

  • Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build a rapport with our SEN pupils;
  • Adequate level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade C or Equivalent in English & Maths);
  • Holding either a relevant qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience;
  • Having a basic understanding of child development and learning.
