We are looking for an experienced Communications & Engagement Team Leader from a warehousing and logistics background to work at our East Midlands Gateway site.
The role of the Communications & Engagement Team Leader will ensure clear and concise communications to all key stakeholders on the site and wider business. To actively support the management team in delivering key messages across the organisation, including colleague briefs.
To work in a position of trust and confidentiality. To provide a link between teams to ensure all interested parties have the information they require to work efficiently and to maintain “Business As Usual.” To work with the management team on colleague engagement initiatives and charity events. To build and create a people forum to ensure colleagues are represented by colleagues and are active in driving the colleague agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend key meetings and provide minutes to all required groups
- Ensure site-wide communications are refreshed in a timely manner
- Manage and promote notice boards around the site
- Create communication templates such as shift briefs, management messages, weekly briefings, etc.
- Design and implement an audit control process for communications to ensure key messages have been delivered
- Using various communications platforms, including but not limited to systems, email, site notice boards, and T.V.s.
- Support wider functions with requirements such as communications and engagement projects through peak/seasonal periods.
- Lead the colleague forum
- Lead colleague engagement initiatives
- Drive our charity initiatives
- Manage the recognition budget and hold responsibility for audit control
Experience
