We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect who can able to provide solution architecture in Point of Sale (POS)/Service Desk.

Job Title: Solution Architect-Retail Solutions / Retail Solution Architect

Job Type: contract [Inside IR35]

Job Location: London

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert and define the future retail POS Architecture advising on best practices and innovative approaches.
• Maintain a broad and up-to-date understanding of end to end retail space /Supply Chain and POS landscape , leveraging industry knowledge to recommend enhancements and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Provide guidance on integration and system upgrades as necessary.
• Support o ngoing POS improvements and ensure architecture scalability.
• Defining the architecture and roadmap for retail sites.
• Adopt industry-standard POS systems, establishing standardised POS architecture across markets,
• Creating guidelines for digital customer touch-points like self-service kiosks/Service Desk and 3rd party applications
• Ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Driving cost and time efficiencies in POS solutions and mitigating vendor lock-in risks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a specialization in Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Strong understanding of the retail sector, with practical experience in designing and implementing POS architectures.
• Expertise in advising on IT architecture with a focus on POS solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Flexible approach to hybrid working, with the ability to spend 2-3 days a week on-site in London.

Experience in Oil & gas/Energy retail would be a huge plus.
