Job Overview: Joining the Commercial Publications Team and reporting to the Design Manager, your core activities will see you responsible for optimising sales through the design and production of artwork for all Damart UK publications in line with brand strategy. To be successful in this role you will have design experience, good visualising and layout ability. You will have the capability of taking a creative brief through to final artwork, completing work which is time critical and quality conscious. This is a permanent, full time role working hybrid - Monday & Friday from home and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from our Bingley office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce design ideas and solutions to enhance product presentation in line with brand strategy.
- Put forward ideas for product photography collaborating with photography studios and feeding back on photography to get the desired result.
- Contribute with ideas on promoting our products and pages.
- Producing catalogue page concepts, layouts and finished artwork.
- Working closely with the Commercial Range Teams to promote their ranges.
- Commercial awareness of business trends, design and product presentation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects.
Skills & Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have previous industry experience of working within a Design Agency or an In-house Design Team, working with print artwork, ideally within a Mail Order environment.
- Graphic/creative qualifications at HND/Degree level or equivalent.
- Full working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and a high proficiency of Photoshop and Illustrator (critical for the role).
- Good organisational and communication skills.
