We are a small team, looking for flexible people to join us to work 36.5 hours per week. A flexible approach to working is needed with the ability to work different days each week; regular Saturday/Sunday working is likely with the remaining hours across the rest of the week (4-week rotas are provided in advance).
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of our retail shop in Bingley and Bradley Mill, ensuring smooth service and excellent customer experience. This role includes supervising team members, managing stock, and maintaining product presentation to maximise sales and efficiency. Duties may vary based on shop and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the operations of the retail shop, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and service delivery.
- Train and guide team members on job responsibilities, product knowledge, customer service, and health & safety procedures.
- Oversee stock levels, replenish products, and manage inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Ensure attractive and organised product displays, adhering to brand standards and visual merchandising guidelines.
- Handle customer interactions, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing overall satisfaction.
- Assist with reporting and administrative tasks related to sales, stock levels, and team performance/rotas. Be a point of contact for all team members.
- Previous supervisory experience in a retail setting essential.
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or fashion (preferred).
- A keen eye for trends and an understanding of styling (preferred).
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail or concession environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, peak trading hours and event days.
