This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and commercially minded Assistant Buyer to gain hands-on experience in product sourcing, supplier management & negotiations, and retail range planning while working closely with experienced buying professionals.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the development of new main mailed product ranges and styles
  • Manage & source direct dispatch product ranges, looking for new innovations to achieve seasonal KPIs
  • Analysis & Reporting: Reviewing weekly sales data
  • Manage product samples and coordinate with the photography studio
  • Prepare briefs for the creative and publications teams
  • Assist with catalogue creation and product listings
  • Maintain product and merchandise data
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends
  • Work closely with Merchandising, E-Commerce and Marketing teams
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage pricing and sample requests
  • Ensure deadlines are met across product launches and catalogue production

About you

  • Previous experience with product sourcing & range building
  • Passionate about product and retail
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail to meet critical path deadlines
  • Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams
  • Strong negotiation skills for supplier management and effective communication for team collaboration
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive with ideas and keen to identify opportunities
