What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work with stakeholders and change teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Promote and implement best practice in coding standards, security, performance, and DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently and support continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and drive improvement and innovation within the team.

What we’re Looking For

  • Degree educated in IT / Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a Software Development Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing and developing technical teams.
  • Experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL/4GL.
  • Background in modernising legacy applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
