Are you organised, detail-oriented and passionate about making a real difference in healthcare? Primary Integrated Community Services (PICS) is looking for an ambitious individual to join the team as a Deputy Practice Manager. The role will be on-site at Medan Medical Practice in Mansfield and will be 30 hours, in a shift pattern between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
You don’t need to have previously worked as a Deputy Practice Manager, but PICS are looking for someone who has worked in administration roles, with experience of using IT systems, supporting colleagues and multi-tasking.
As part of the role, you will undertake a Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship with Damar Training to support the development of your knowledge and skills.

Job Purpose:
- Provide support to the practice manager in the effective running of the practice
- To be responsible for the production of performance and quality standards within the practice
- To manage data quality issues, providing advice and guidance to all practice staff in the use of the clinical system
- To support the claims process for work undertaken as part of enhanced national or local services
- Provide leadership and management skills to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within an efficient, safe and effective working environment.
Experience is a must in the following areas:
- Working in an administrative or data handling role
- Working with IT systems in a workplace setting
- Managing or prioritising multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Supporting or training colleagues
- Working in a healthcare, social care or public facing environment
- Producing reports or performance information
- Supervising others or delegating tasks.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Strong IT literacy, including ability to learn clinical systems
- Understanding of data quality principles and accurate record keeping
- Ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports
- Knowledge of confidentiality, GDPR and data protection
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff, patients and external partners
- Ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines
- Ability to support audits and quality improvement
- Ability to train others in basic IT troubleshooting
- Understanding of QOF, enhanced services, or primary care quality frameworks.
