What you will do

  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring that all details are handled efficiently and professionally.

Ensure events run smoothly and meet client expectations.

  • Supervise and support event staff, including assigning tasks, providing on-the-job training and ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

  • Ensure all guests receive exceptional service. Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during events promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain high standards of service quality and presentation throughout events. Ensure all facilities and equipment are in excellent condition.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure seamless event delivery. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
  • Assist in managing event-related inventory, including equipment and supplies. Ensure proper storage and maintenance of all items.
  • Support the Conference & Banqueting Manager in liaising with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction.

Assist with pre-event planning and post-event follow-up.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team. Ability to inspire and drive performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey information to staff, clients, and management.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive and resourceful in resolving issues. Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service quality and presentation. Ability to implement and monitor quality control measures.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work. Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
