We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Assistant to support the smooth running of our transport, warehouse, and coldstore functions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can maintain high standards of compliance, communication, and operational efficiency.

£14.35 p/h
Hours:
Monday to Friday, (25 hours) 9am - 2pm
Offer is subject to a satisfactory drugs & alcohol test
Main Responsibilities Monitor work permits, conduct composite panel checks, and perform internal and external audit actions and checks.
Arrange training sessions for staff when necessary.
Organise same-day courier services.
Oversee insurance reporting and accident documentation, providing advice as needed.
Support record-keeping and data reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Assist in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational targets.
Support the development and implementation of new policies and procedures related to operational processes.
Assist in ensuring all transport documentation is completed accurately, timely, and up to date.
Promote and support a positive, inclusive Food Safety culture within the team.
Assist the Site and Group Technical Department with transport department audits.
Requirements Good IT skills and competence using Word, Excel and Outlook Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail Knowledge of food safety principles is desirable if relevant to the environment.
