We are currently looking for a Credit Controller who is enthusiastic and motivated, to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Assistant you will be expected to work on your own initiative and have an excellent understanding / experience of varied collection techniques.
Location: North Business Park, Drumhead Road, Chorley, PR6 7DE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm (37.5 hours)
Salary: £27,000.00
Offer is subject to a satisfactory drugs and alcohol test.
Main Responsibilities:
- Proactively chase outstanding payment ensuring monies are paid within the payment terms.
- Make pre-emptive calls to ensure monies due are paid on time.
- Working alongside our Depots where overdue balances/queries are causing issues.
- Reconciling accounts.
- Setting up new customers on the system.
- Ad hoc duties such as finance and general office admin.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and process and manage cash payments.
- Build client relationships.
- Resolve any account or invoice query.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous credit control experience.
- Strong communication/verbal skills both written and verbal.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Methodical and organised, with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
- Flexible attitude and the ability to work successfully in a close team environment.
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good IT and excel skills.
