Dalton Recruitment is pleased to partner with this fantastic client to secure a new HR Business Partner to provide operational and strategic advice to the senior leadership team across their central functions. Partnering with the CFO, Chief Strategy & Transformation Director, IT Director, People Director, and Procurement Director, the new HRBP will enable the business to deliver its goals and influence/facilitate the creation of a high-performance culture.
Working closely with the People Director to ensure the people strategy is delivered, the HRBP will partner with the business leaders on:
- Talent management & succession planning
- Capability development & competency building
- Organizational design
- Workforce planning & performance optimisation
- Employee engagement
- Performance Management
- Leadership Development
- Creating a High-Performance Team and High-Performance Culture environment
In addition, the HR Business Partner will:
- Support the business in operational issues which drive business performance, working effectively across the departments to support the Units’ People strategies and business delivery.
- Work with each of the Business Leaders to develop the people agenda to deliver each of the Functions/Business Units’ business strategies.
- Support central cultural change activity and other business/People projects to drive business transformation and improve delivery of core business activities.
- Act as a role model for change management.
- Act as a trusted advisor on all people activity, providing the business options for them to determine the right business solutions and acting as an independent arbiter.
- Coach leaders and teams to maximise delivery & impact and deliver improved team performance.
The role requires someone to be based at their Woking offices for 4 days with 1 day from home each week, with a requirement to travel fairly regularly to their other UK offices to meet with the necessary stakeholders and their teams as required. It is a fantastic development opportunity for an experienced HRBP who may wish to make a move to a more strategic role, as the operational responsibilities will be handled by the wider HR team. This is a genuine strategic partnering role.
Key Skills and Experience to be Considered:
- Proven track record as a People/HR Business Partner in a Head Office/CoE environment
- Understands / can demonstrate the cultural sensitivity needed to work across a matrix organization whilst maintaining the pace of delivery
- Ability to delegate and take responsibility for workload and prioritise work when needed
- Commercially driven with a P&L focus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Highly numerate - strong attention to detail, extremely well organised
- Strong IT and systems skills
- Ability to 'think outside the box’
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Sound judgement - calm logical thinker when making decisions
- Extremely high degree of energy and personal motivation - gains satisfaction from 'influencing senior leaders’
