Dalton Recruitment has been invited by this leading global outsourced support services firm to secure them a new HR Compliance Manager for their UK business. This is a key role in the People & Culture team helping to ensure the business is compliant with UK employment law, company policy and internal governance standards. With the support of the Compliance Analyst, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, legal teams and people specialists across the business, supporting all activities which promote active risk management, audit readiness and continuous improvement across the People & Culture function. This will include supporting the People & Culture team with wider projects such as the expected changes and impact of the Employment Rights Bill, assessing and reporting on the potential risk management threats it may present. The role is based from the company’s Surrey headquarters with a hybrid policy of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home offered. Salary is negotiable on experience but a base salary sweet spot of £45,000 - £50,000 is targeted + car/allowance + benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, review & update People & Culture documentation to ensure accuracy with current legislation / Company policy with assistance and support from the appropriate in-house expert.
- Manage the assurance activity against key risk areas within People & Culture.
- Work closely with the Legal Employment Law team and other in-house experts.
- Ensure clear and consistent reporting is provided on key risk areas, to various Stakeholders including the ELT.
- Provide compliance knowledge during People projects.
- React in a timely manner to audit requests, both internal and external.
- Maintain ongoing awareness of key legislative changes within the UK, including the Employment Rights Bill.
- Work with People & Culture Business Partnering and other functional SME’s.
- Provide support and guidance when reacting to new risk.
- Support the Head of Reward & Compliance in reviewing and developing the People & Culture Compliance controls, assurance and strategy.
- Provide day to day management support to the People & Culture Compliance Analyst.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a compliance-focused role, ideally linked to employment law or HR compliance.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and governance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organised, adaptable and comfortable managing changing priorities.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) is advantageous.
