Deputy Manager

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to assist the Manager in the daily running of the home, in an efficient and caring manner, ensuring the home is operating to the highest standard. You will be responsible for staff supervision while working in a direct care capacity.

Rate of Pay: To be discussed at interview

Contract Type: Full Time

Contract Hours: 40 hours

Location: Walthamstow – Dalton Lodge

Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

1. Assisting the Manager in the running of the home in an efficient and caring manner.
2. Supervising staff.
3. Working in a direct care capacity on a day-to-day basis.
4. Being directly responsible to the Home Manager or their appointed representative in respect of all duties performed, subject to the terms and conditions of the contract of employment.

Duties of the Manager to be Assumed by the Deputy Manager in Their Absence:

1. Ensuring that the home is operating to a high standard and acceptable to the requirements of the proprietors, the Local Authority, Social Services, and the Fire Prevention Officer.
2. Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate training for staff.
3. Having designated responsibility for the ordering, recording, administration, and disposal of the home\’s medication system.
4. Assisting with maintaining adequate staffing levels and the correct mix of staff.

Essential Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:

1. Must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
2. Experience in dementia care.
