This is a full-time, Class 1 tipper driver role based in our Govan branch but will cover central Scotland. The Class 1 tipper driver will be responsible for safely operating Class 1 vehicles and tipper trucks to transport metal to and from various sites. Daily duties include:

  • Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
  • Loading and unloading materials in line with safety procedures
  • Following designated routes and schedules
  • Complying with road transport regulations
  • Adhering to company health and safety policies
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers, site teams, and customers
  • Keeping the vehicle clean, well-presented, and roadworthy

Qualifications:

  • Strong truck driving skills with proven experience operating heavy goods vehicles and tippers
  • Valid C+E license with a clean driving record
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, site staff, and other road users
  • Customer service skills to represent the company professionally at all times on-site and on the road
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations, load security, and vehicle inspection procedures
  • Ability to work full time in an on-site role including early starts and occasional extended hours as required
