Dalter UK, as part of the Italian Group DalterFood, produces, packs and distributes the best Italian cheeses and specialties in the UK, with a particular focus on quality and sustainability. Based at our office in Exeter (UK), we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing and implementing a supply strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, and maximises customer satisfaction through world-class service in collaboration with our headquarter in Italy.
Responsibilities:
- Stock Control: Check and manage stock ensuring full supply. Analyse sales/promo information to place stock orders. Ensure orders dispatched correctly from Italy to the UK and from UK warehouses to customers. Monitor warehouse inventory and investigate discrepancies.
- Customer Liaison: First point of contact for customer stock control and order queries to provide the best possible service level. Advise customers of any problems (shortages, delays etc.) and find the best solution to ensure ongoing supply.
- Management of 3rd Party Warehouses and Hauliers: Co-ordinate product launches. Investigate and put in place the best delivery route to customers (groupage/collection/FTL etc.). Obtain/negotiate prices/contracts.
- Supplier Liaison: Place stock orders. Manage any issues - delays, shortages etc.
- Monthly P&L and Transport Budget Review: Review supply chain P&L. Set and manage Supply Chain budget.
- Import Management & Compliance: Ensure the business is operationally compliant with all legal requirements for the import of products. As legislation changes, these should be implemented. Manage the Supply Chain Coordinator.
