We’re looking for Interpreters to join our growing community at Dals! As a freelance interpreter, you will be registered with us on a self‑employed basis and can decide your hours of work, travel distance and number of assignments to suit your lifestyle. You’ll attend appointments in person to support our clients and their non‑English speaking service users, helping bridge communication gaps in essential settings such as healthcare, legal and public services.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret live conversations between clients and non‑English speakers.
  • Support communication in medical, legal, social services and public sector settings.
  • Ensure accurate, confidential and culturally sensitive interpretation.
  • Use the interpreting app to manage your availability and assignments.
  • Deliver excellent service that empowers people to access vital services.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Right to work.
  • NPPV Level 3.
  • Police related qualification (one or more of the following): DPSI Law Full, Diploma in Community Interpreting Police and Court Pathway, DPI, Met Police Test.
