We are looking for freelance Interpreters to work as self‑employed, choosing their own hours, travel distance and number of assignments. You will attend appointments in person to support clients and their non‑English speaking service users in essential settings such as healthcare, legal, social services and public services.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret live conversations between clients and limited English speakers.
  • Support communication in medical, legal, social services and public sector settings.
  • Ensure accurate, confidential and culturally sensitive interpretation.
  • Use our interpreting app to manage availability and assignments.
  • Deliver excellent service that empowers people to access vital services.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Kurdish / Kurdish Sorani.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • NPPV Level 3.
  • Police related qualification (one or more of the following):
  • DPSI Law Full.
  • Diploma in Community Interpreting Police and Court Pathway.
  • DPI.
  • Met Police Test.
