Dals is welcoming freelance interpreters to support face-to-face police interpreting assignments across the North West and North Wales.

We are also keen to hear from linguists who have previously helped deliver interpreting services for the North West Police Forces and would like to continue supporting these services through Dals.
Where we need interpreters We are particularly interested in freelance interpreters who are able to support face-to-face assignments in: 📍 Greater Manchester 📍 Lancashire 📍 Cheshire 📍 North Wales 📍 Cumbria 📍 Merseyside Priority languages We are especially interested in interpreters speaking Urdu, Arabic, Polish, Punjabi, Romanian, Bengali, Gujarati, Farsi, Kurdish, Somali, Pashto, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, Ukrainian and Russian .
Applications are also welcomed across other languages, including British Sign Language.
Police interpreting experience Candidates with PAIT Status are strongly encouraged to apply, and we would also love to hear from linguists who are already providing interpreting services at Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) level.
If you are an experienced public service interpreter but are unsure whether you meet every requirement, please do not be put off at this stage.

Who we’re looking for We would like to hear from freelance linguists who are fluent in English and at least one other language, have interpreting experience and a relevant qualification, are able to travel to face-to-face assignments in their selected area, and are open to completing any required onboarding, vetting or compliance checks with guidance and support from Dals.
