We’re looking for Interpreters to join our growing community at Dals. As a freelance interpreter, you will be registered as a self‑employed professional and can decide your hours of work, travel distance and number of assignments you take to suit your lifestyle. You will attend appointments in person to support our clients and their non‑English speaking service users, helping bridge communication gaps in essential settings such as healthcare, legal and public services.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret live conversations between clients and limited English speakers.
  • Support communication in medical, legal, social services and public sector settings.
  • Ensure accurate, confidential and culturally sensitive interpretation.
  • Use our interpreting app to manage availability and assignments.
  • Deliver excellent service that empowers people to access vital services.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and in one or more of the following languages: Arabic (Sudanese), Bengali, Dari, Tigrinya, French, Turkish or others.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Right to work in the relevant jurisdiction.
