Pret A Manger – Shift Leader – Front of House

• Support and coach the team to ensure they reach their potential in both the shop and kitchen
• Support the training pathways to ensure training happens on time
• Lead by example and be hands-on when required
• Assign duties amongst team members to match individual productivity rates, skillsets, and current responsibilities
• Coach the team for good performance by offering regular feedback and praise

• Ensure the team consistently follows the 6 Key Points of Service
• Follow the MBWA principles
• Empower the team to deliver engaging Joy of Pret activities
• Role model the 3Bs and empower the team to Be Kind, Be Honest, Be Generous
• Ensure the Coffee Calling System is followed efficiently
• Ensure all Marketplace orders are prepared promptly and accurately

DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINK

• Ensure the team consistently delivers delicious food by following the 6 Key Points of Production
• Follow the 11-Step Production Process to guarantee customer safety and accurate, fresh products
• Adhere to Production Principles, prioritizing customer needs without compromising quality or freshness
• Use and follow How to Cards consistently to deliver Pret standards
• Carry out successful Line Checks and act on improvements
• Ensure no Made to Sell (MTS) rejects are on display in our Langars
• Develop the team’s knowledge about food and coffee quality
• Ensure Barista Prepared Drinks are made by trained employees to high standards
• Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety Standards to maintain safety
• Monitor and record safety checks, taking corrective action immediately if needed
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and equipment well maintained
• Proactively monitor Pret Standards through MBWA principles
• Report and escalate quality issues promptly
• Maximize sales, labor efficiency, and profit through the Big 4 (Forecasting, Rota, Ordering & Production)
• Accurately carry out ordering in line with business needs
• Monitor and follow up on Mystery Shopper requirements
• Maintain good stock control following the 7 Steps of Unaccounted
• Follow Pret’s Financial Standards to minimize risks and ensure team safety
• Use merchandising guidelines and marketing effectively to drive sales
