Dalkia have an opportunity for a Multiskilled HVAC Engineer to join their team supporting the facilities maintenance for our client’s offices in Hove, with occasional travel to support sites in London.

Main Purpose of Job

The post will be predominantly based at Hove but will be expected to travel into London Dalkia sites. The success of this role is underpinned by delivering first class customer service and technical expertise to site-based employees, visitors and the wider FM delivery team. To successfully operate all areas of the contracted technical services within your designated demise. To actively support the FM relationships with users and visitors to the portfolio. Enacting and responding to emergency protocols where necessary. To actively support and adopt best practice across all operations within the contract. To ensure a focussed approach to all governance-based requirements with a sense of true ownership and determination. Demonstrable results-focussed approach will be a necessity.

Predominantly based at Hove, you will be an integral part of the site maintenance team in ensuring that the EDF facilities run smoothly and are successful in supporting business activities and for providing a professional service for our client. You will also be required to undertake occasional travel into London to provide support to our London EDF and Mitsui sites, and be part of the call out Rota.

  • Follow Dalkia Guiding Principles
  • Report all Health and Safety issues immediately
  • Action both Risk Assessments and Point of work Risk Assessments

Responsibilities:

The daily duties of an HVAC Engineer can vary significantly depending on the project and employer. However, common tasks will include:

  • Understand the Design HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Install HVAC systems according to design specifications.
  • Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing HVAC systems.
  • Ensure all HVAC work complies with relevant codes and standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement HVAC system upgrades and retrofits.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
  • If appropriate report on the performance of any sub-contracted works.
  • ‘Setting to Work’ ensuring that all RAMS are appropriately adhered to and correct.
  • Conducting and supervising installations and ensuring conformity with engineering designs and standards.
  • Participate in Health and Safety initiatives.
