Dalkia have an opportunity for an Electrician to join their team supporting the facilities maintenance for our clientâs sites in Hove and London.
Main Purpose of Job
The post will be predominantly based at Hove but will be expected to travel into London Dalkia sites including EDF and Mitsui. The Technician will act as a key focal point for technical interactions for Hove and to be involved in both tactical planning and day-to-day operational delivery of the contracted services. To proactively lead the technical contract requirements such as the delivery of PPMâs, compliance and Reactive works & reach the standard of LVAP for the site and other EDF sites in the South East. The success of this role is underpinned by delivering first class customer service and technical expertise to site-based employees, visitors and the wider FM delivery team. To successfully operate all areas of the contracted technical services within your designated demise. To actively support the FM relationships with users and visitors to the portfolio. Enacting and responding to emergency protocols were necessary. To actively support and adopt best practice across all operations within the contract. To ensure a focussed approach to all governance-based requirements with a sense of true ownership and determination. Demonstrable results-focussed approach will be a necessity.
Main Responsibilities
- Adhere to all aspects of Health & Safety on site in accordance with legislation and Dalkia/Customer policies, while ensuring team works to Values at all times.
- Ensure first class service is delivered to any person who works in or visits the buildings; understand and pro-actively improve the contractual KPIs & SLAâs.
- Propose ideas for technical compliance and excellent service delivery.
- Lead on compliance, PPM & reactive work.
- Be flexible to support shortages in labour materials and plant and plan/schedule to avoid issues arising.
- Always think ahead with a strategic mind-set.
- Be part of the call out rota for the South East.
- Invest time with work stream leaders encouraging open communication through the contribution of ideas and views.
- Promote teamwork and networking between all work streams through the Dalkia values.
- Proactively support on management of contractors and in-house teams.
- Investigating availability and suitability of options for alternative service delivery options.

- Ensuring all customers, staff and contractors meet Health & Safety rules for the site.
- Ensure that all administrative duties are being upheld to support the function by using the contract support provision.
- Attend regular customer and in-house meetings.
- Support operations, ensuring we deliver outstanding results.
- Act as subject matter expert for allocated buildings, managing escalations and customers, suppliers and colleagues to ensure a seamless service delivery.
- Employ effective communication and influencing skills to enable an effective change management with stakeholders at all levels who may hold differing and contentious views.
- Identify, own and resolve local customer service issues, driving service improvements and exercising good judgement.
- Be available for agreed overtime to undertake PPM and reactive works across region.

Essential Requirements
- Able to take part in on-call rota.
- Willing to undergo relevant vetting requirements.
- Strong electrical skills and fault finding knowledge.
- Knowledge of other systems such as water and air conditioning advantageous.
- Experience within the technical FM sector in a similar role, supporting delivery, team player, individual and client relationships leading by example at all times.

Qualifications
- Electrical Installations Level 3 (Essential).
- 18th Edition (Essential).
- LV AP (Essential).
- Test and Inspection ideal (Desirable).
- PASMA (Desirable).
- IPAF (Desirable).
- Good understanding of mechanical plant.
- FM Electrical / Building Service technical background.
- Proficient use of IT software (Word / Excel etc).
- Ability to effectively work under pressure.
- Ability to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate in a very customer focused environment.
- Proven track record in working with CAFM systems.
