Summary of Role:
- Integrate telemetry systems with existing hardware and software solutions including design, testing, installation and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve telemetry-related issues during development and testing phases.
- Work as an individual and as part of a team β collaborating with software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers to optimise solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Provide detailed site surveys and technical support for the wider team and customers.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across the UK.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into engineering solutions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, project timelines and health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team servicing a number of clients. The work will vary depending on the clientsβ needs but typically includes some small projects work, some routine maintenance and some reactive support calls. In each case suitable training will be provided to ensure they are able to perform their duties.
Qualifications:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
- A good Electrical Engineering background (preferably in control systems or electrical engineering).
- Several years hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of installing electrical equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Experience of installing and commissioning of telemetry outstations.
- Current full UK driving licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- PLC/RTU or similar control systems experience.
- ISaGRAF experience.
- AutoCAD qualification or experience.
- City and Guilds 2391 & 2395 inspection and testing qualifications.
Personal Skills:
- Good communicator and well-organised individual.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines as well as effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Willingness to attend at customer sites both individually and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills.
