North West Region | Dalkia Engineering
Following a number of significant project wins and continued growth across our North West business, we're looking to recruit an experienced M&E Estimator to join our work-winning team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing major projects across sectors including healthcare, defence, commercial, critical infrastructure. Working alongside operational, commercial and pre-construction teams, you'll help develop competitive, robust and commercially sound tender submissions that support the continued success of our business.

What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and electrical building services projects.
- Review tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and evaluate quotations.
- Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Support tender reviews, bid submissions and settlement meetings.
- Work closely with operational, commercial and pre-construction teams to develop winning tender strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Monitor market conditions and pricing trends to ensure estimates remain competitive and commercially sound.
- Support the successful handover of awarded projects to delivery teams.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in an M&E Estimating role within the building services industry.
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, costs and procurement routes.
- Experience pricing complex projects within a Tier 1 contractor or established MEP contractor environment.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify both risk and opportunity.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy and continuous improvement.
