We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the commercial delivery of a major healthcare development, working alongside an established and supportive team. As a Senior QS, you will lead the commercial management of MEP works, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and strong supply chain performance throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also gain exposure to a wider pipeline of healthcare projects across the Dalkia North business, offering long-term career development and progression.
What You Will Bring
- Strong experience in commercial management within MEP / M&E subcontracting
- Proven track record in cost control, reporting, subcontractor management, and change management
- Solid understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts (NEC Option C desirable)
- Experience preparing CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and cost to complete
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider commercial team
- Experience in live environments (e.g. healthcare) is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial delivery of MEP works on a major healthcare project
- Carry out measurement and valuation of works, including variations and final accounts
- Prepare and maintain CVRs, cost reporting, and forecasts
- Manage cash flow and maximise commercial performance
- Procure, manage, and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal governance
- Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain, and internal teams
- Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team
About You
- HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E / building services
- Strong knowledge of monthly reporting and commercial processes
- Excellent time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Collaborative, supportive, and proactive mindset
- RICS chartership (or working towards) desirable
- Valid CSCS card
- Right to work in the UK
