Dalkia Engineering is looking for a skilled and dedicated a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at Birmingham Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex electrical and specialist systems projects in a live airport environment, where safety, precision, and innovation are critical.
Who We’re Looking For
- IOSH or SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card (required).
- Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC or NVQ Level 3/4 in Building Services; a degree in Project Management or Engineering is desirable but not essential.
- Strong and proven experience in electrical building services engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects successfully.
- Excellent leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management skills.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead and manage the electrical building services aspects of projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and programme requirements.
- Champion a culture of safety excellence, supporting and implementing health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Develop, review, and analyse detailed electrical designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, security, data, life safety systems, and other specialist systems in buildings.
- Monitor project budgets and programmes, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies while optimising resource allocation.
- Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to reduce potential impact.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and present technical solutions clearly and effectively.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems seamlessly and mentor junior engineers in their professional development.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, proposing improvements to engineering processes and methodologies.
