At Dalkia Scotland, we’re delivering smart, sustainable technical solutions that make a real difference. We’re now looking for a Quality Engineer to join our QSHE team and help drive quality excellence across our projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Play a central role in delivering and promoting Dalkia Scotland’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with Dalkia and client quality requirements across the full project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with bid, commercial, operational and project teams.
- Support multiple live projects, from tender through construction, handover and aftercare.
- Develop and implement effective project-specific quality controls.
- Maintain and manage core quality documentation including ITPs, ITFs, QSOs and QHPs.
- Support project teams with quality planning, documentation and evidence capture.
- Assist with supply chain onboarding to ensure quality expectations are understood and met.
- Carry out site-based quality inspections, desktop reviews and formal audits.
- Use digital platforms such as Trimble Fieldview to support quality reporting and assurance.
- Manage customer complaints to ensure positive outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Identify, record and manage non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor quality risks, trends and opportunities, contributing to lessons learned.
- Produce clear, evidence-based quality reports for project and QSHE leadership.
- Coach and train project teams on quality tools, processes and best practice.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and right-first-time delivery.
- Support initiatives to understand and reduce the cost of poor quality.
- Act as a visible advocate for QSHE values and behaviours across Dalkia Scotland.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a Quality or QSHE-related role.
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and UK HSEQ legislation.
- CSCS card.
- Confident working independently and as part of project teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and online CDE platforms (e.g. Trimble Viewpoint, BIM 360).
- Professional membership (CQI, CIBSE, IET, IHEEM) and training experience are desirable.
