Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Rope Access Supervisor (IRATA Level 3) to join our on-site team at Dungeness Power Station, supporting our long-term partnership with EDF. This is a hands-on, technically demanding supervisory role within a highly regulated nuclear environment. You will be responsible for the safe planning, execution, and supervision of rope access activities, ensuring full compliance with IRATA, Dalkia procedures, and nuclear site safety requirements. The role also includes acting as Technical Author for rope access operations, supporting audits, governance, and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the IRATA Level 3 Supervisor for all rope access activities on site, ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Ensure full compliance with IRATA standards, supporting internal and external audits and maintaining readiness for IRATA inspections.
- Plan, set up, and supervise complex rope access systems, including rescue arrangements and emergency planning.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation as the business Technical Author, including:
- Rope access procedures and standards
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Rescue plans and emergency response documentation
- Legislative and compliance guidance relating to rope access and work at height
About You
You are a time-served, hands-on IRATA Level 3 Supervisor with strong experience working in industrial or highly regulated environments. You have a proven ability to lead teams safely, produce high-quality technical documentation, and support audits and compliance activities. You bring a detailed understanding of rope access legislation, IRATA requirements, and safe implementation of rope access operations, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and safety culture.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- IRATA Level 3 certified
- Extensive knowledge of IRATA, rope access legislation, and work-at-height regulations
- Proven experience developing and reviewing:
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Rescue plans and emergency procedures
