About the Role
Dalkia UK is looking for a skilled and adaptable Multi-Skilled Technician (Mechanical Bias) to join our team. This role supports the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and minor remedial works across a portfolio of educational sites.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining safe, compliant, and high-quality environments, working across a range of mechanical and water systems. This is a hands-on, varied position suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PPM tasks across mechanical and water systems
- Carry out TMV servicing and water hygiene duties (flushing, temperature checks)
- Assist with inspection, maintenance, and basic fault-finding of: Pumps, Fans and ventilation systems, Valves and associated plant elements
- Perform basic plumbing and mechanical repairs
- Support remedial works identified during maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate records using logbooks and CAFM systems
- Assist with subcontractor coordination when required
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards
- Support wider team activities and contract delivery
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience in maintenance, plumbing, or mechanical environments
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, fans, water systems)
- Ability to carry out fault finding and minor repairs
- Flexible, multi-skilled approach to work
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience with TMVs or water hygiene tasks
- Background in facilities management or commercial environments
- Familiarity with mechanical plant (heating systems, pumps, ventilation)
- Awareness of sealed and pressure systems
- Experience using CAFM or PPM systems
