Imperial College London (Multiple Sites)

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) 8AM -8PM/ 8PM – 8AM

Competitive salary plus £2750 Shift Allowance

We are currently seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) to join our dedicated team supporting the prestigious Imperial College London contract. This is a critical shift-based role responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across a broad mechanical infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing:

· Conducting PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems (pumps, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, calorifiers, compressors, etc.)

· Attending to plumbing-related callouts (e.g. leaks, toilet blockages, tap replacements)

· Carrying out emergency lighting testing and other safety-critical checks

· Using CAFM systems (handheld device, tablet, or phone) for task management and reporting

· Identifying and addressing faults proactively

· Escorting and overseeing specialist subcontractors

· Maintaining clear communication with clients and site management

· Ensuring compliance with H&S protocols at all times

What we’re looking for:

· Level 2 Mechanical qualification (Level 3 desirable – C&G, NVQ, etc.)

· Proven HVAC experience

· Background in maintaining large commercial buildings (hospital experience is a plus)

· Strong multi-skilled engineering ability

· Confident using electronic devices and CAFM systems

· Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

· Full UK driving licence

· Team player with a proactive and safety-first approach
