Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Heating & Ventilation) to join our on-site team at Dungeness Power Station, supporting our long-term partnership with EDF. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role within a highly regulated, industrial environment. You’ll play a key part in maintaining critical heating and ventilation systems that support one of the UK’s most important energy generation sites. This role is ideal for a practical engineer who values safety, reliability, and technical excellence.
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a broad range of heating and ventilation systems, including heavy plant equipment.
- Diagnose, fault-find, and resolve mechanical issues arising from helpdesk requests and operational reports.
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of heating and ventilation systems across the station.
- Maintain and repair mechanical plant such as pumps, fans, filters, motors, drives, and heater coils.
- Ensure all work complies with strict health, safety, and quality standards in line with nuclear site requirements.
- Actively participate in training and competency development to maintain site authorisations and industry certifications.
You’re a time-served, hands-on Mechanical Engineer with proven experience maintaining heating and ventilation systems in an industrial setting. You take pride in working safely, following procedures, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions in demanding environments.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience maintaining heating and ventilation systems within an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work.
