Role Overview

The Marketing Manager is a standalone role, that sits within our Business Development team. They have responsibility for developing and delivering the annual marketing plan for the business, creating content, planning external events and managing all public relations, whilst working smoothly with agencies and cross-functional teams.

Success will be your ability to support the Business Development (BD) team with bid collateral and market insight, combined with the ability to turn technical project wins into compelling case studies, articles and speaking opportunities that strengthen our company brand.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Strategic planning & ownership – develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives and plans (brand, digital, events, PR) aligned to company goals and strategies, minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Integrated campaigns to support lead generation – design and execute multi-channel initiatives (content, webinars, external events/conferences, RFP portals) that drive qualified opportunities to the Business Development (BD) team, mirroring best practice at competitor ESCOs (Energy Service Companies)
  • External communications & thought leadership – case-study development to reinforce Dalkia’s market leadership narrative. Where appropriate, prepare submissions for external award opportunities
  • Stakeholder & community engagement – create outreach content that explains complex solutions to prospective clients and other external stakeholders. Work with external stakeholders and organisations to create PR and speaking opportunities for Business Development team.
  • Sales-enablement tools – Support BD team with development of bid decks, sector-specific collateral, market intelligence and win-theme messaging. Maintain a library of reference material and bid collateral
  • Budget & supplier management – manage and allocate marketing budget effectively, negotiate with agencies/suppliers where necessary to ensure marketing projects are delivered within scope and budget.
  • Internal collaboration – act as liaison between BD, Project Directors and Dalkia Group to coordinate external stakeholder updates and wider Group activities

Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience

  • A degree in Marketing, Business, or an equivalent field
  • Demonstrable experience in B2B marketing for related industry [Energy Services, Renewables or Engineering]
  • Experience working in relevant industry, ability to take complex technical information and created compelling multi-channel marketing strategies, that appeal to a range of potential clients
  • Self-motivated: Track record of proactively building and executing marketing plans without close supervision, including managing agencies and freelancers.
  • Commercial and opportunity development focus: Demonstrated ability to convert marketing activity into measurable pipeline for a business development or sales team.
  • Content creation (case studies): Experience working in relevant industry, ability to take complex technical information and created compelling multi-channel marketing strategies, that appeal to a range of potential clients.
  • Digital expertise: Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Stakeholder skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams
