There\âs a permanent opportunity for a Project Construction Supervisor to join our projects team on our Houses of Parliament contract in Westminster, London.
Dalkia provides mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance services as well as a variety of smallâ and mediumâsize project works for the Parliamentary Estate (approximately 17 sites) based in the Westminster area. The project team generally delivers lowâ and mediumâsize projects (ÂŁ50k to ÂŁ500k) for both the PMST and Strategic Estates (SE) teams, using a measuredâterm contract and PSA schedules of rates for PMST and NEC3 for SE.
A Project Construction Manager oversees all logistics of a construction project with strong administration, H&S, project, and commercial awareness, supporting the project team at key stages of delivery, conducting site visits, and reporting progress to senior managers.
The Role
Manage the construction site on a dayâtoâday basis, supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and ensuring quality control to deliver the project on time and on budget.
Plan and coordinate the project from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget to ensure highâquality delivery within contract timescales.
Oversee logistical requirements and communicate with consultants, subcontractors, planners, quantity surveyors and other stakeholders.
Meet regularly with clients, third parties and managers to report on progress, health & safety, and any issues.
Promote and maintain health and safety by conducting site visits, inspecting work, checking materials, and ensuring staff follow CDM and safety guidelines.
Participate in incident management and deal with contracts to mitigate the impact of any issues.
Handle unexpected problems during the project, ensuring building work adheres to industry regulations.
Assist with basic project delivery, tendering, detailed project reporting (weekly/monthly), and general correspondence.
Compile and/or review RAMs, coordinate adâhoc project work and events, and network to develop new business.
Attend required training sessions, support key team members, and build effective working relationships to maximise project success for Parliament.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 8.00 amâ5.00 pm
Additional earnings available through overtime (if wanted)

SMSTS
CSCS
Experience of RAMs review & approval
Good IT skills
Previous project & construction experience
General mechanical or electrical background/qualification
5â6 years of industry experience
First Aid certification
Temporary Works coâordinator experience
