We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Sizewell B on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the coordination and execution of a variety of technical projects—ranging across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
You’ll be at the heart of ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery by working closely with both subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead and deliver multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate works across site, ensuring schedules and standards are met.
- Validate subcontractor documentation prior to granting site access.
- Supervise daily site activities, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Conduct pre-job briefs and lead setting-to-work processes.
- Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) before work begins.
- Carry out regular spot checks and audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Liaise with operations managers and supervisors to support efficient delivery.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, escalating any Health & Safety concerns promptly.
You’ll be an organised and safety-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and internal teams will be key to your success in this role.
Essential Skills & Experience:- Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering diverse projects.
- Strong track record of managing subcontractors and enforcing H&S standards.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Background in technical or facilities management disciplines.
