To work as part of the Mobile Support Team delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across building fabric services. The role supports the effective operation, maintenance, and safety of client facilities while ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Aims and Objectives

  • Deliver a high-quality building fabric maintenance service across Facilities Management contracts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting agreed service levels and contractual requirements.
  • Manage personal workload to maximise productivity and efficiency.
  • Achieve PPM completion targets and reactive maintenance response deadlines.
  • Promote collaboration and ownership within the Mobile Support Team.
  • Support continuous improvement, including project delivery from enquiry through to completion.
  • Represent and promote the business positively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Support business development opportunities and contract growth.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Technical Duties

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Deliver building fabric maintenance services including minor works and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of building trades including:
  • Brickwork, blockwork, and repointing
  • Slab and coping stone replacement
  • Minor rendering repairs
  • Tiling, painting and decorating
  • Carry out general building repairs including:
    • Basic joinery (doors, windows, fixtures)
    • Basic plumbing tasks
    • Basic electrical fault assistance
    • General handyman activities

    Compliance & Safety

    • Follow all engineering standards in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
    • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and safe working practices.
    • Work towards Authorised Person status and issue Permits to Work where required.
    • Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance activities and plant condition.
    • Ensure Quality Assurance procedures are followed for all work undertaken.

    Service Delivery

    • Maintain building fabric standards to ensure operational reliability and safety.
    • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and helpdesk calls.
    • Support minor project works related to building fabric improvements.
    • Provide technical advice and support to clients and colleagues.
    • Coordinate and supervise specialist subcontractors where required.
    • Assist other trades and team members as needed to support service delivery.

    Equipment & Stock Control

    • Manage stock levels in accordance with company procedures.
    • Inspect and maintain company-issued plant and equipment.
    • Ensure equipment is logged and controlled appropriately.

    Additional Duties

    • Attend meetings and provide technical input where required.
    • Prepare reports on works undertaken and equipment condition.
    • Support contract development through identification of additional works such as lifecycle replacements or project opportunities.
    • Undertake other duties as requested by the Facilities Manager or client.
