The Opportunity
As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality facilities management services across a portfolio of sites. You will lead a team of on-site personnel and suppliers to ensure consistent service delivery, strong compliance performance, and a positive customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for operational delivery, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement of FM services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of FM staff to deliver service requirements across assigned sites
- Provide clear direction, performance management, and support to ensure high standards of delivery
- Deliver FM services in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs
- Manage day-to-day delivery of both hard and soft FM services
- Oversee reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
- Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including fire safety, water hygiene, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate, auditable compliance records and certification
- Act as the responsible person for compliance delivery at site level
- Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance, competence, and safe working practices
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Support audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Promote a strong health and safety culture
