Fabricator/Welder

Location: Heysham 2 Power Station

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 – 13:00

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out MIG/MAG welding on structural steel in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Fabricate and repair fixed access platforms, gratings, ladders, safety doors, and handrails.
  • Work to technical drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality results.
  • Ensure all work complies with current Health & Safety legislation, site protocols, and nuclear industry standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • City & Guilds 229 in Fabrication and Welding, or a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
  • Proven MIG/MAG welding and fabrication experience in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Strong ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to safety and quality.
