Dalkia Engineering is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking environment that values innovation and professional development. In this role, you’ll be integral to the successful execution of crucial MEP upgrade projects at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital

Who We’re Looking For

  • IOSH or SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card (required).
  • Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC or NVQ Level 3/4 in Building Services; a degree in Project Management or Engineering is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong and proven experience in electrical building services engineering.
  • Solid understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations; familiarity with HTM guidance is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects successfully.
  • Excellent leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal abilities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and manage electrical building services design from concept through to completion.
  • Develop and review detailed electrical designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, and life safety systems in buildings.
  • Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical oversight to maintain quality and consistency across all electrical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within building designs.
  • Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Present technical solutions to clients and support project delivery through effective communication.
  • Stay current with industry developments, applying innovative and efficient engineering solutions.
  • Champion a culture of safety excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
