At Dalkia UK, we're looking for an experienced and inspirational General Manager to lead our operations at Torness Power Station. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the overall performance, safety, compliance, and strategic direction of our contract. Working closely with EDF stakeholders and senior leaders, you'll ensure the delivery of a safe, efficient, and high-performing service while driving continuous improvement and long-term business success.
The Role
As General Manager, you will provide visible leadership across the station, creating a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration. You will be responsible for ensuring contractual obligations are delivered safely, effectively, and in alignment with both client expectations and Dalkia's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a robust station business plan, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and a strong safety culture.
- Lead, inspire, and develop multidisciplinary teams, setting clear objectives and ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EDF Energy, trade unions, regulators, and senior stakeholders across multiple organisations.
- Ensure the contract remains compliant, resilient, and sustainable, meeting all legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
- Provide strategic oversight of Facilities Management and project delivery activities across the station.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
