Dalkia is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Deputy Site Waste Coordinator to join our team at Sizewell B Power Station. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile, safety-critical environment, playing a key role in ensuring waste management activities meet the highest environmental, regulatory, and operational standards.
The Role
As Deputy Site Waste Coordinator, you will support the effective management of waste operations across site, ensuring compliance with legislation and site procedures while driving high standards of housekeeping and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Characterising, handling, and managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste in line with UK and EU regulations
- Ensuring correct storage, segregation, containerisation, labelling, and coordination of waste collections
- Maintaining accurate waste documentation and records, including contributing to monthly waste analysis and identifying opportunities for waste reduction
- Managing housekeeping standards across waste storage areas and ensuring associated safety equipment is maintained
- Conducting environmental inspections and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone with a practical approach and a strong understanding of waste management in a regulated environment:
- Demonstrable waste management knowledge and experience
- Strong organisation, coordination, and communication skills
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
- A valid forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
