Dalkia have an opportunity for a Facilities Manager to lead their team overseeing the EDF offices in Gloucester Business Park. The Senior Facilities Manager will lead a customer-focused Facilities Management team, ensuring the delivery of the full spectrum of FM services in line with client, financial, and commercial requirements. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

We are now looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team supporting EDF locations across the Gloucester area.
The Opportunity As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality facilities management services across a portfolio of sites. You will lead a team of on-site personnel and suppliers to ensure consistent service delivery, strong compliance performance, and a positive customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for operational delivery, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement of FM services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of FM staff to deliver service requirements across assigned sites
- Provide clear direction, performance management, and support to ensure high standards of delivery
- Deliver FM services in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs
- Manage day-to-day delivery of both hard and soft FM services
- Oversee reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
- Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including fire safety, water hygiene, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate, auditable compliance records and certification
- Act as the responsible person for compliance delivery at site level
- Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance, competence, and safe working practices
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Support audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Promote a strong health & safety culture and act as escalation point for incidents
- Manage site budgets, monitor spend, and identify cost efficiencies
- Provide regular reporting on service performance, compliance, and risk
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support FM-related projects
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Proven experience in Facilities Management within a live operational environment
- Experience leading and developing teams within an FM or service delivery environment
- Strong background in managing both hard and soft FM services
- Experience in contractor and supplier management
- Demonstrable experience operating within a compliance-led environment
- Experience managing budgets and cost control
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Strong understanding of UK statutory compliance (fire, water, electrical, etc.)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capability
- Commercial awareness with a compliance-focused mindset
- Ability to interpret asset data, maintenance regimes, and compliance systems
Qualifications
- IWFM Level 4 (or equivalent) as a minimum
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH and/or IWFM Level 5 advantageous
