Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to support our commercial projects team. In this role, you'll manage all cost-related aspects of our contracts from initial calculations to final account, ensuring profitability and effective cost control.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and our supply chain to manage risk, improve margin, and maintain our reputation for quality and accountability. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, values-led organisation at the forefront of the energy and engineering services sector.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all commercial elements of major projects in line with Dalkia processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and understand customer requirements.
- Monitor and control subcontractor accounts, including applications, variations, and payments.
- Provide accurate forecasting of final accounts and cash flow.
- Identify and manage commercial risks throughout project lifecycle.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on financial matters.
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate project reports, forecasts, and valuations.
- Monitor all project costs including labour, materials, and subcontractors.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Essential: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills.
- Confident communicator with proven stakeholder engagement experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
- Understanding of Health & Safety implications in commercial environments.
- Desirable: Background in Mechanical & Electrical quantity surveying within building services.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Internal: Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, Buyers, Estimators, and Health & Safety teams.
- External: Clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.
