We’re Hiring: Junior Pensions Specialist
London or Birmingham (Hybrid)
Are you looking to grow your career in pensions within a collaborative and fast‑paced environment? We're looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Junior Pensions Specialist to join our People team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some existing pensions, payroll or HR administration experience who is keen to further develop their technical knowledge and build a long‑term career within pensions and employee benefits.
Working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, HR Systems and external pension providers, you’ll support the administration, governance and continuous improvement of our pension processes and schemes.
The Opportunity
This role offers excellent exposure to pensions operations within a complex business environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting pension processes, data management, compliance activities and employee queries, while learning from experienced stakeholders across the business. You’ll play an important role in helping ensure our pension administration remains accurate, compliant and employee‑focused.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the administration of our DC pension schemes
- Assisting with pension data validation, reconciliations and reporting
- Helping maintain accurate employee pension records and documentation
- Supporting governance, compliance and process improvement activities
- Working closely with Payroll, HR Systems and external pension providers to resolve queries
- Assisting with pension communications and employee engagement initiatives
- Supporting ongoing pensions projects and operational improvements
- Preparing reports and updates for internal stakeholders where required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in pensions administration, payroll, HR administration or employee benefits
- A genuine interest in developing a career within pensions
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable working with data and systems
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and solutions‑focused approach
- Experience with HR or payroll systems would be beneficial (iTrent desirable but not essential)
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical pensions knowledge
