Dalkia UK are looking for a full time HR Advisor to join our HR team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be supporting sites on a national scale and so there will be a requirement for frequent travel.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Support: Disciplinary, Grievance, Harassment and Discrimination casework.
- Recruitment & Selection: Coordinate the internal and external process, liaising with the internal recruitment team, agencies and supporting the interview process through to induction and probation.
- Service Delivery: Build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and functions to provide robust management information/data.
- Provide expert guidance to line management and employees to ensure adoption of effective and consistent working HR practices, to include lawful compliance and adherence to company policy and procedure.
- Absence: Assisting with the management of short and long term absence, in line with company standards, including working with external Occupational Health providers and making home visits.
- Performance: Working with managers to address performance improvements, setting SMART objectives and assisting with the annual Performance Development Review (PDR) Process.
- Learning and Talent: To assist with training programmes, deliver manager upskilling sessions and work with managers to identify development areas/activities to support individual personal development plans. Support of Apprenticeships programmes, coordinate reviews and work rotations.
- Project work: To assist with specific project work to contribute towards HR objectives to ensure continuous improvement.
- CPD: To develop yourself and keep abreast with developments in the HR profession.

Person Specification:
- Experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrable generalist experience in a wide range of HR disciplines.
- Able to communicate positively and effectively across all levels.
- Confidence to challenge ways of working/thinking.
- Planning and organising – the ability to prioritise between urgent and important issues.
- Decision making and analysis.
- Ability to listen to others.
- Willingness to travel and work at sites nationally with overnight stays.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Qualifications:
- Certificate in personnel practice (CPP) and/or working towards CIPD or equivalent.
