Dalkia is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team supporting Heartlands NHS Site. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across a range of building services mechanical and electrical systems. You’ll play a key part in ensuring reliable operation of critical infrastructure, maintaining strong client relationships, and upholding Dalkia’s standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose faults, repair power and lighting systems, and complete minor installations.
- Ensure all works meet client SLAs, safety standards, and Dalkia QSHE policies.
- Liaise with suppliers and colleagues to source parts and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records, including site log books and maintenance documentation.
- Keep plant rooms clean and well-maintained to extend equipment lifespan.
- Respond promptly to emergency callouts and communicate progress with clients.
- Support continuous improvement in service delivery and cost efficiency.
- Provide cover for colleagues and undertake reasonable overtime as required.
Experience & Skills Required
- Qualified Electrician with strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.
- Background in building services engineering (electrical and mechanical).
- Understanding of mechanical plant and building systems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Awareness of Health & Safety standards.
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Building Services Engineering
- 17th & 18th Edition IEE Regulations is Essential
