Multi Skilled Engineer Tate Modern Shift Pattern: 12 hour days, 12 hours night Shift allowance on top of salary

The Role

As a Shift Electrical Technician, you’ll be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical systems and equipment. You’ll be a key contributor to ensuring reliability, safety, and operational excellence across the site. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your technical expertise and proactive mindset will make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to agreed schedules
  • Respond quickly and effectively to reactive maintenance and emergency call-outs
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across building systems
  • Maintain and repair lighting, distribution systems, and HVAC electrical controls
  • Ensure compliance with Health Safety regulations and engineering standards
  • Keep accurate maintenance records using a CAFM system (PDA device)
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and support external service providers
  • Apply and remove LV electrical isolations safely
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and contract growth

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of building services systems (HVAC, lighting, distribution)
