Dalkia UK is looking for an experienced Mobile Technician (Environmental) to deliver Legionella PPM and associated water hygiene services across a range of commercial and industrial contracts. This is a hands-on, mobile role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining compliance, protecting client assets, and supporting Dalkia’s reputation as a market leader in environmental and technical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out works in line with ACOP L8, BS6700, and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, including:
- Hot & cold water temperature monitoring
- Showerhead cleaning and disinfection
- Calorifier flushing, temperature checks, and internal inspections
- Water sampling and analysis
- Tank and down-service disinfection / chlorination
- TMV testing
- Dead-leg removal
- Cold water tank replacement (non-plumbing), lining, and inspections
- Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection
- Completing job sheets and reports via PDA
- Upgrading domestic water systems to meet ACOP L8 requirements

What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Several years’ experience in Legionella control, site monitoring, and testing
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Confident using PDAs and computer systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (including lone working)
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
- Strong communication skills with clients at all levels
- Based in Dundee/Tayside or willing to relocate
Desirable
- Water sampling and testing experience
- Knowledge of pool plant and equipment
- Legionella Awareness training
- Health & Safety training
- Experience in fault diagnosis and maintenance works
