Dalkia UK are looking for a full time Mobile Caretaker to join our busy Mobile team covering the Manchester area. You will be responsible for the care, presentation and upkeep of school buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repairs to the building fabric internally and externally as required.
- Carry out plant equipment checks and log faults as required.
- Replace lighting tubes and lamps as and when needed.
- Site security.
- Operations of fire/intruder panels and report faults as necessary.
- Safe custody of building keys and key-holder responsibilities.
- Reporting to Dalkia UK management any instances of unauthorised use or entry to the premises, or any damage caused.
- Ensure all external areas are kept tidy including external bins.
- Assist the school in the set-up and moving of materials/equipment as required.
- Ensuring all defects in cleaning/maintenance equipment are reported promptly to management and/or the Technical Services Centre.
- Completion of planned maintenance checks, including paperwork found in the Caretakers manual.
- Raise emergency sub-contracted tasks.
- Assist the Head Caretaker and the site team.
- Ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times on site and any failings, concerns, accidents and near misses are reported in line with Dalkia UK policies.
- Monitor BMS systems in relation to regular checks of the system and adjusting times when required.
- Ensure environmental policies are adhered to.
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritise.
- Flexible working hours/various shift patterns.
- Experience in building/security/ground maintenance desirable.
- First-aid training.
- Trade experience (joinery, plumbing and general maintenance).
- Knowledge of computer literacy.
- IOSH working safely or equivalent.
